Finish this sentence: I could not have gotten through law school without…
my friends!

Who are your mentors? How have they impacted your journey?
All of the mentors I connected with as a Diversity Scholar have provided me a tremendous amount of support these last three years. A special thank you to Camille Parker at Gallagher, Evelius, and Jones and my BLSA mentor, Ashley Whidby, for their guidance and encouragement.

Who was your favorite professor and why?
Professor Martha Ertman is undoubtedly my favorite professor. I will never forget her energy and enthusiasm during my 1L contracts course. She convinced me that transactional law could actually be exciting.

What was your favorite class and why?
Arts and Media Law with Professor Holofcener because that is where my interest in intellectual property law sparked and I got to write a legal paper solely focused on Beyonce!

Write a message.
First and foremost, I thank my family for their constant love, encouragement, and support on this journey. Without them, I would not be where I am. I thank my friends for all the study group sessions, pushing me to work harder, impromptu potlucks, and restaurant-week outings. You all became the support system I never knew I needed. I thank the members and advisors of BLSA for being a constant support and reminder that I belong in the legal profession as a woman of color. I thank my professors and the administration for always going the extra mile and being committed to my success. I thank the entire Carey Law community for making my law school experience everything I hoped it would be.
