This is one of my favorite times of year. Nature is at the peak of her annual reaffirmation and the air trembles with burgeoning possibilities. Despite the challenges, uncertainties, and fears confronting us, this is still the season of promise and possibility for all of us, and certainly for you. I know this because I know you. Over the last three years, I have come to know you as driven, energetic, resourceful, and empathetic people who are destined to create rather than conform, to expand rather than collapse. I do not know what the next months and years will bring, but more than any class that has graduated during my time at the Law School, I am excited to see the world you will make.
The other thing I love about this time of year is the opportunity to embarrass you in front of your family and friends with tales of the remarkable things you have done and the wonderful people you are. I am routinely moved to tears in these moments and regret very much that we will not have the chance to gather together this year. But beware. I still have the tales to tell. I do not know when or where, but they will be told.
I am so grateful for the time we have spent together. I miss you all terribly and wish you the very best. If ever I can be of some small assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
