What was your most memorable law school moment?
Winning the “Excellence in Mediation Advocacy Award” & “Advocate’s Choice Award” from the 2018 FINRA Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon as part of the ADR Team. I competed alongside Jayne Chung (’20) and Behnam Parvinian (’19).

Who was your favorite professor and why?
I had two favorite professors: Tu and Van Alstine. Both professors supported me in the classroom, and as a leader in the Business Law Society. All of the Business Law professors were a tremendous resource for me at some point throughout my law school career.

What was your favorite class and why?
Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic. The entire IP Clinic team (Professors Campbell, Hopkins and Yee) were extremely approachable and really made the clinic experience enjoyable. I learned how to manage my own clients/cases, identify and address client issues and draft various contracts and agreements. The intake process was especially valuable as I got to practice meeting with clients face to face, and addressing their concerns on the spot. While I’ve taken many amazing courses at UMD Law that taught me the law, the IP Clinic taught me how to “practice” law.

Write a message.
Law school was not easy, but throughout my 3 years at Maryland Law, I found myself. I enjoyed the coursework, I was motivated to join student leadership, I made many new friendships, and I found a job that has me excited for the future. I am leaving Maryland Law better than when I came in, and for that, I will always be thankful!
