What was your most memorable moment?
Having the ability for my dog to attend class with me in online classes. Treasure is a studious puppy.

Finish this sentence: I could not have gotten through this experience without.
my friends, family, and dog.

Who are your mentors? How have they impacted your journey?
I have been fortunate to have many mentors in law school. David Ciambruschini was my supervisor at the U.S.D.C. of Maryland throughout law school. He has given me meaningful advice for law school and my career. I have found mentors in professors, such as Nancy Faulkner, Jim Wyda, and Jon Kucskar. I have greatly appreciated their advice on improving my writing skills and entering the next steps of my career.

What did you learn about yourself while earning this degree?
I learned that life requires a balance. As an evening student, there is a lot of pressure to maintain a successful work, life, and school balance. I learned that my biggest measure of success for myself is more than a grade or acknowledgement at work. My success lies in me producing my best work and accepting what comes from it. I learned I am stronger than I could have imagined.

Who was your favorite professor and why?
My favorite professors are Jim Wyda, Nancy Faulkner, Jon Kucskar, and Keisha Williams. All of these professors actively engaged classrooms into discussion and worked through the material together. I greatly appreciated Professor Faulkner’s ability to brighten the room and make a topic I was dreading (Family Law) exciting and interesting. Professor Wyda made each student deeply reflect on sentencing in the U.S. and learn different perspectives. Professor Kucskar helped me realize I want to be in an advisory role. Professor Williams made the class personable. I truly appreciate all of them.

What was your favorite class and why?
My favorite class was Family Law. It was the most unexpected class for me to enjoy. I do not want to do family law. However, the class was really insightful and interesting. I think it is important to know because family law is a large part of many people’s lives and it is bar tested. I think that was my first law school class that I remember thoroughly enjoying.

Thank you to my parents and grandma for being the best “Team Dennison.” Thanks to Sarah Snow for supporting me through balancing work and school. Thankful for my Poppy, who has watched over me. I couldn’t have done it without my friends and coworkers.
