First lots of travel..
Then I’ll be working as a Public defender in Maryland!
What was your most memorable moment?
My work with the criminal defense clinic- I can never adequately articulate how much that has impacted my life.
Finish this sentence: I could not have gotten through this experience without …
God, my mom, my family, friends, and copious amounts of coffee!
Who are your mentors? How have they impacted your journey?
Maneka Sinha: I am so blessed to have been taught and mentored by you. Thank you for being in my corner and for reminding me of why I wanted to be a lawyer in the first place. Thank you for being my “if she did it, I too can do it” person. I can only hope to become half the advocate (and person)you are. Thank you for everything!
What did you learn about yourself while earning this degree?
I can do hard things.
Write a message thanking people that helped you along the way.
Shout out to Jesus for ALWAYS delighting in my prosperity and staying by my side.
Thank you Mom for staying up with me for every all nighter and being my biggest support. I could not have done this without you.
Thank you to my family and friends for lifting me up and encouraging me through this journey. I am the luckiest to have you all as my village.
Thank you to my professors (law school and undergraduate) for believing in me and seeing me before I ever could.
Special shoutout to my dad and my grandmother for their prayers and for blessing my steps even from Heaven.
Finally, thank you to myself. Thank you Awurama, for doing the work, and staying the path even through the tough times. You are excellent and amazing, and a BOSS!
